Teaching the Faith

We should never pass the opportunity to explicitly or subtly teach the faith to our children, no matter what the task.

It makes me so sad to see cradle Orthodox who have failed to teach the faith to their children. They may have taught them the traditions but they have not taught them the faith. when I became Orthodox, it was not because it just seemed like a good idea at the time. It was because I had come on board. And this means that I fully intend to raise orthodox children. I may not fully know what that means or how to so it yet but what a travesty to have this treasure of the faith and not pass it down? May it not be so in our home.
